Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be computer literate.
• Must possess the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, professional staff, and community.
• Experience with designing lessons and adapting materials to meet student needs.
• Ability to communicate with parents/guardians and administrators regarding student progress.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Pennsylvania educator codes and district policies.
• Implement district curriculum for your classroom.
• Adhere to IEPs and 504 Plans for eligible students.
• Design and schedule lessons and activities aligned to state standards.
• Develop and adapt materials and teaching strategies for individual students.
• Collect data and assess student progress using curriculum-based assessments.
• Provide progress reports to parents/guardians and staff.
• Collaborate with teachers delivering specialized instruction.
• Prepare detailed daily/weekly lesson plans and maintain materials for substitutes.
• Maintain a constructive classroom environment and enforce discipline as needed.
• Engage in professional activities and communicate with families about student progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the High School Principal or Superintendent.
