Job summary

Legend’s Bar Grill in Tucson, AZ is seeking a friendly Bartender to deliver prompt service and expertly mix drinks. You will engage guests, upsell menu items, and maintain stock while upholding liquor laws.

The role requires at least 1 year of bartending in a fast-paced setting, strong communication skills, cash handling experience, and the ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays. AZ Food Handler certification may be required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of bartending experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Effective communication by telephone and in person.
• Basic computer/MICROS knowledge.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Previous cash handling experience required.
• Must obtain AZ Food Handler & Responsible Beverage Service certification on hire if not already certified.
• Flexibility to work day, evening, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve properly mixed and proportioned drinks, in a timely manner, to guests and servers.
• Have excellent working knowledge of liquors, beers, and wines.
• Upsell and suggestive sell of both food and beverage to guests.
• Requisition and restock bar with all essential products and equipment.
• Observe and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
• Check identification of guests ensuring alcohol is served only to those patrons of the legal drinking age.
• Monitor the intake of alcohol of guests, prohibiting sale of alcohol to those who are intoxicated.
• Communicate with guests and respond to feedback in a positive manner, resolving any service issues.
