Job summary

Saint Elizabeth University in Morristown, NJ is seeking a qualified, energetic, and team-oriented part-time Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach to support the Head Coach in planning and executing all team activities and recruitment efforts.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree with coaching/recruiting experience, travel including nights and weekends, and adherence to NCAA DIII and conference rules; CPR/First Aid and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and coaching/recruiting experience at the collegiate level preferred.
• Frequent travel including nights and weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting prospective student-athletes and retain current team members.
• Support academic progress of student-athletes: monitor eligibility, attendance and GPA.
• Attend and assist in practices, team meetings, competitions, and travel.
• Promote safe, inclusive team culture and well-being of student-athletes.
• Teach, mentor, and develop players in skills, strategy and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA Division III rules and Atlantic East policies and SEU standards.
• Pass NCAA Division III recruiting test before engaging in recruiting activities.
