Job summary

TCAT - McMinnville Campus in McMinnville, TN is seeking an Anatomy & Physiology Instructor to join the adjunct faculty. The role teaches A&P with a focus on preparing students for healthcare careers.

80 hours/trimester, part-time, on-site position. You will develop lesson plans, deliver lectures, assess student performance, and maintain lab safety and accreditation standards in a lab‑rich classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Coursework in Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• Minimum of three years’ professional teaching experience in Anatomy & Physiology or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of human body systems, physiology, and related laboratory practices.
• Ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
• Commitment to student success and workforce preparation.
• Must possess a valid Tennessee driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures and demonstration sessions in accordance with the program curriculum and guidelines.
• Develop and update lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments.
• Evaluate and record student performance, maintaining accurate attendance and grade records.
• Maintain current knowledge of trends and developments in Anatomy & Physiology and related healthcare fields.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship, and support to students.
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to improve instructional quality and student learning outcomes.
• Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed in the classroom.
• Contribute to program accreditation efforts and institutional assessment activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and institutional information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Coordinator.
