Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications approved annually by MCC Board of Trustees.
• Teaching experience in accounting is preferred.
• Commitment to MCC's mission and to engaging diverse student populations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach the assigned class in accordance with the learning objectives and Concourse syllabus using instructional strategies to engage students.
• Develop and manage working syllabus, course materials, and assignments.
• Provide feedback and evaluate students' performance throughout the learning process which could involve being available for student conferences either before or after class, and by College email if necessary.
• Maintain and submit class syllabus, grades and attendance records, and required course related data.
• Use educational technology (i.e. course management platform such as Canvas).
• Assess student learning and submit required reports of assessment results.
• Maintain currency in professional field.
• Work cooperatively within the department, the division, and throughout the College in striving for educational excellence.
