Job summary

The Lyon County School District is seeking an Elementary Teacher to implement curriculum aligned with Nevada Academic Content Standards and the LCSD approved materials. You will create a positive learning environment and monitor student progress to tailor instruction.

This salary position is Exempt and follows the Licensed Employee Salary Schedule; 9 months or 185/189 days with employer-paid retirement and experience-based placement. Nevada licensure and a Bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess Nevada teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education and be certified in the relevant subject area.
• Meet minimum qualifications listed on the position vacancy announcement.

Responsibilities

• Administer district curriculum aligned with Nevada State Standards.
• Create and maintain a positive, orderly, academically focused instructional environment.
• Develop and implement lessons using the LCSD lesson plan template.
• Analyze student progress and provide individualized instruction and feedback.
• Maintain accurate records in student software systems and report to site administrator.
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and community to support school goals.
