Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education with a minor in Social Studies.
• Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate and Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• An Elementary, Middle Grades, or Secondary Certificate with History or Middle Grades Social Studies or Social Studies.

Responsibilities

• Teaches social studies/history/geography/United States government to secondary pupils as per Board education and approved curriculum.
• Instructs pupils in citizenship and basic state law requirements and district procedures.
• Develops a balanced social studies program with factual background, current events, discussion, and activities to build inquiry skills.
• Provides individual and small group instruction to accommodate varying abilities and backgrounds.
• Encourages understanding of American governmental and economic systems and citizens' rights and responsibilities.

Education
