Job summary

Lively ES in Irving, Texas is seeking a 4th Grade ESL Teacher to provide engaging language and content instruction for EL students. The teacher will implement district and TEA guidelines, use data to tailor strategies, and collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and Texas teaching certificate for the subject/level assigned.
• ESL Supplemental Certification preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in the core subject area and ability to instruct and manage student behavior.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district standards.
• Present content according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Use data to plan instructional strategies meeting diverse student needs (EL, bilingual/ESL, 504, etc).
• Collaborate with special education staff to adapt curricula as needed for IEPs.
• Plan and supervise activities with aides/volunteers and utilize technology to enhance learning.
• Establish open communication with students and parents; maintain professional relationships with staff and community.
