This position may be responsible for the day-to-day Management of the Site Development Section within the Office of Watershed Protection, Department of Watershed Management. Site Development provides technical review of all construction plans, both public and private sector, which involve “earth disturbing activities” within the City Limits of Atlanta. This review serves to enforce both Georgia state laws regarding erosion and waters quality, and City of Atlanta standards for sanitary sewer design and capacity, paving, grading, drainage, and storm water management. This position is responsible for assisting in overseeing and managing engineering, contractual, and financial activities for this program area. This employee will interface with the Site Development Manager, Bureau Directors, the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners, and Law Department. This employee will identify engineering and technical needs, and manpower requirements for the program area. Reviews and critiques all engineering documents submitted by applicants for Building Permits. This employee will be responsible for the work activities of as many as twenty staff including engineers and technical staff.
