Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Division Vice President of Sales in Schaumburg, IL. You will lead the division’s sales strategy, recruit and develop a sales team, and drive growth across markets.

You’ll devise and implement strategic plans, manage budgets, and collaborate with marketing to create campaigns and incentives that boost market share while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Six to eight years sales experience
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, structuring sales quota goals and meeting revenue expectations
  • Must have a vehicle, a valid driver’s license and able to drive in daytime or nighttime
  • Experience in evaluating and motivating sales teams to achieve goals
  • Proven success creating marketing strategy and a sales plan
  • Ability to conduct and analyze a market analysis
  • Excel in intercommunications and interactions
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Performs the obligations and signature duties required by the elected office state in the Corporate Authority resolutions
  • Assist the Division President to develop the annual sales plan
  • Create and maintain a positive atmosphere for success and achieving goals
  • Meet or beat set sales goals
  • Hire, train, manage and motivate sales staff
  • Evaluate sales representatives for training needs to promote growth and success to achieve their potential in obtaining company sales objectives
  • Modify and implement sales strategies for improvement based on market research, competitor analyses and identifying prospective customers
  • Analyze competitive analyses on product, features, neighborhoods and amenities
  • Review market analyses to determine customer needs, price ranges and sales campaigns
  • Devise incentive programs to motivate sales team to achieve sales goals
  • Oversee customer expectations and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings
  • Resolve conflict between construction, sales representatives and customers
  • Create new incentives for neighborhoods
  • Establish Realtor Outreach Programs
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to create advertising and campaigns
  • Educate sales representatives on marketing promotions
  • Work closely with the marketing department to establish successful support, channel and partner programs
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Stage community grand openings and new phases in an existing community
  • Ensure infrastructure and data systems are available to support the sales function
  • Provide feedback to division leadership team regarding customer interactions, market and competitor activity
  • Develops and maintains good rapport with prospective customers, realtors, and team members
  • Execute policies to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Work with Division President to provide counsel, guidance and coaching to the management staff in developing their personal management, capabilities and professional skills

D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Division Vice President of Sales. The right candidate will have the responsibility of achieving the revenues established in the division’s business plan. Devise and implement strategic plans for division growth, new markets and growing market share. Additional responsibilities include recruiting, training, motivating and managing sales representatives.
