Pet Medical Center is a full‑service animal hospital offering both emergency care and less urgent medical, surgical, and dental care. We are experienced in all types of conditions and treatments; over the years, we have grown and evolved, always striving to provide the highest level of veterinary care and expertise.

Position Purpose

Come extern with us! Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide veterinary students with hands‑on experience and mentorship to help have them ‘practice ready’ by their first day in practice. Externships are typically two weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed. Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
• Must be able to provide student PLIT
