Job summary

Modern Auto Company in Washington, MO is seeking a fully trained and certified Diesel Technician to join our service team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines including GM Duramax platforms, using GM factory tools, and communicate findings to service advisors.

A valid driver's license and strong attention to quality are required. We offer competitive pay of $35–$45 per hour, a climate-controlled shop, ongoing training, health benefits, PTO, and a supportive workplace focused

Qualifications

• Certified diesel technician (ASE and/or GM certification preferred).
• Proven experience with diesel diagnostics and repair.
• Experience with Duramax engines strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, including GM Duramax platforms.
• Perform engine, fuel system, turbocharger, emissions, and drivability repairs.
• Use GM factory diagnostic tools and service information.
• Troubleshoot complex diesel performance and electrical concerns.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
• Document work performed and communicate with service advisors.
• Follow all GM procedures and safety guidelines.
