Job summary

ForceSource in Des Moines, IA is seeking a skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our operations team. You will transport materials to and from job sites, perform pre-trip inspections, and ensure safe, on-time deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a CDL, clean driving record, and experience with dump trucks and similar heavy vehicles. You will load/unload freight, communicate with dispatch, and maintain delivery documentation as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience driving dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or other heavy-duty vehicles.
• Proficiency or experience with manual transmission is preferred.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers is a plus.
• Previous delivery or commercial driving experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading materials.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate dump trucks and other vehicles safely and efficiently to transport materials.
• Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of materials.
• Follow designated routes for deliveries while adhering to traffic laws.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operation.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and materials transported.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
