Responsibilities

• Conducts daily vehicle inspections and completes driver's checklist.
• Loads and unloads equipment safely and ensures it's secured.
• Practices safe driving skills and follows all safety regulations.
• Recognizes mechanical issues and reports necessary maintenance.
• Ensures material is loaded safely and transports to jobsites.
• Follows GPS to job sites and material sources.
• Spreads and dumps gravel efficiently.
• Performs non-driving, general labor duties as needed.
• Provides materials' tickets to the Foreman daily.
• Maintains a clean truck and good housekeeping on equipment.
• Ensures truck is fueled each night.
• Follows all safety rules and wears required PPE.

Our team provides quality workmanship and outstanding service to our customers who are represented by public utilities, government agencies, general contractors, and businesses. We are looking for a hard-working driver that likes to work outside and takes pride in a job completed safely and efficiently to join our Maltby team.

Responsibilities

• Conducts daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle, trailer and equipment inspections and completes driver's checklist in Fleetio.
• Loads and unloads equipment in a safe manner by always utilizing the help of a second person, and ensures equipment is correctly secured on trailers.
• Practices safe driving skills in all operating conditions (including "4 second rule") following all vehicular safety regulations and consistently using spotters.
• Recognizes mechanical issues as they develop with engine, brakes and electrical systems and takes action when necessary to shut down and secure the machine to avoid additional damage; reports maintenance needed and/or any damage to their Superintendent, Foreman and Shop Foreman.
• Responsible for ensuring material is loaded safely and efficiently (ensures not overweight, no debris, etc.) and safely transports to jobsites and/or plants.
• Can follow GPS and get to job sites and to material sources in a timely manner.
• Spreads and dumps gravel efficiently; spots truck into paver and places material as directed.
• Performs non-driving, general labor duties as needed and/or directed.
• Provides materials' tickets to the Foreman daily so Foreman can complete their work.
• Maintains a clean truck to include spraying down of trailers when needed and practices good housekeeping on all equipment.
• Ensures truck is fueled each night.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations and practices preventive safety measures; wears required PPE.
• Maintains and promotes Company's philosophy and core values of Respect, Trust, and Create.
