Job summary

AA Asphalting in Seattle is seeking a safety‑conscious CDL Class A driver to support outdoor asphalt and concrete restoration operations. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, load/unload materials, and safely transport to job sites while following DOT rules and using GPS navigation.

Expected to work long hours in all weather with weekend availability. The role offers full benefits, PTO, and ongoing training within a growing team.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Knowledge and ability to use GPS devices.
• Follows DOT requirements and traffic regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conducts daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle, trailer and equipment inspections.
• Loads and unloads equipment safely with assistance and secures on trailers.
• Practices safe driving and uses spotters as required.
• Identifies mechanical issues and reports maintenance needs to supervisors.
• Transports materials to jobsites safely and efficiently.
• Follows GPS to job sites and material sources in a timely manner.
• Spreads and dumps gravel, spots truck with paver as directed.
• Performs non-driving general labor as needed.
• Provides materials' tickets to Foreman daily.
• Maintains a clean truck and equipment, fuels nightly.
• Adheres to safety rules and uses PPE; upholds company values.

Our team provides quality workmanship and outstanding service to our customers who are represented by public utilities, government agencies, general contractors, and businesses.

We are looking for a hard-working driver that likes to work outside and takes pride in a job completed safely and efficiently to join our Seattle team.

Responsibilities Include

• Conducts daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle, trailer and equipment inspections and completes driver's checklist in Fleetio.
• Loads and unloads equipment in a safe manner by always utilizing the help of a second person, and ensures equipment is correctly secured on trailers.
• Practices safe driving skills in all operating conditions (including "4 second rule") following all vehicular safety regulations and consistently using spotters.
• Recognizes mechanical issues as they develop with engine, brakes and electrical systems and takes action when necessary to shut down and secure the machine to avoid additional damage; reports maintenance needed and/or any damage to their Superintendent, Foreman and Shop Foreman.
• Responsible for ensuring material is loaded safely and efficiently (ensures not overweight, no debris, etc.) and safely transports to jobsites and/or plants.
• Can follow GPS and get to job sites and to material sources in a timely manner.
• Spreads and dumps gravel efficiently; spots truck into paver and places material as directed.
• Performs non-driving, general labor duties as needed and/or directed.
• Provides materials' tickets to the Foreman daily so Foreman can complete their work.
• Maintains a clean truck to include spraying down of trailers when needed and practices good housekeeping on all equipment.
• Ensures truck is fueled each night.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations and practices preventive safety measures; wears required PPE.

• Must have a CDL Class A.
