Job summary

AA Asphalting in Issaquah is seeking a dedicated driver to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a CDL Class A and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency in their work.

As a driver, you will conduct vehicle inspections, load and unload equipment, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The role offers a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401K profit sharing.

We are looking for a hard-working driver that likes to work outside and takes pride in a job completed safely and efficiently to join our Issaquah team.

Responsibilities Include

• Conducts daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle, trailer and equipment inspections and completes driver's checklist in Fleetio.
• Loads and unloads equipment in a safe manner by always utilizing the help of a second person, and ensures equipment is correctly secured on trailers.
• Practices safe driving skills in all operating conditions (including "4 second rule") following all vehicular safety regulations and consistently using spotters.
• Recognizes mechanical issues as they develop with engine, brakes and electrical systems and takes action when necessary to shut down and secure the machine to avoid additional damage; reports maintenance needed and/or any damage to their Superintendent, Foreman and Shop Foreman.
• Responsible for ensuring material is loaded safely and efficiently (ensures not overweight, no debris, etc.) and safely transports to jobsites and/or plants.
• Can follow GPS and get to job sites and to material sources in a timely manner.
• Spreads and dumps gravel efficiently; spots truck into paver and places material as directed.
• Performs non-driving, general labor duties as needed and/or directed.
• Provides materials' tickets to the Foreman daily so Foreman can complete their work.
• Maintains a clean truck to include spraying down of trailers when needed and practices good housekeeping on all equipment.
• Ensures truck is fueled each night.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations and practices preventive safety measures; wears required PPE.
• Maintains and promotes Company's philosophy and core values of Respect, Trust, and Create.

• Must have a CDL Class A.
• Knowledge and ability to use GPS devices.
• Follows all DOT requirements and traffic regulations.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work weekends and occasional nights.
• Ability to travel to various worksites.
• Ability to work long hours and in all weather conditions.
