Job summary

Allan Myers Inc. is seeking a focused CDL B dump truck operator in Elk Mills, MD to support heavy civil construction projects. You will haul materials for grading, excavation, piping, and paving, while ensuring weight limits and safety standards are met.

Daily checks and clear communication with site teams are essential. Qualified candidates have at least 2 years with CDL B, a clean driving record, and familiarity with DOT rules. Pre-employment drug screening and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating a CDL B dump truck in heavy civil construction.
• Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record; CDL A is a plus.
• Experience hauling materials for site work, grading, excavation, mainline pipe, processed water, milling, or paving projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, weight limits, and truck safety procedures.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials between job sites.
• Support grading, excavation, mainline pipe installation, processed water, milling, and paving operations by hauling materials.
• Load and unload materials with proper weight distribution and adherence to load limits.
• Follow haul routes and traffic laws per safety policies and DOT regulations.
• Inspect trucks daily for safety and perform basic maintenance checks.
• Communicate with site supervisors, equipment operators, and project teams.
• Maintain accurate deliveries, mileage, and load logs.

Responsibilities

Sign-on Bonus of $2500 for Qualified Candidates

• Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials such as dirt, stone, asphalt, and milling debris between job sites.
• Support grading, excavation, mainline pipe installation, processed water, milling, and paving operations by hauling materials as needed.
• Load and unload materials while ensuring proper weight distribution and adherence to legal load limits.
• Follow assigned haul routes and traffic laws, adhering to company safety policies and DOT regulations.
• Inspect trucks daily for safety and mechanical issues, performing basic maintenance checks.
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors, equipment operators, and project teams.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and material loads.

Hourly Range

• $24.00 - $28.00, based on experience.
