Qualifications

• 7–11 years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Duck Creek Policy development.

• Proven experience supporting DCOD migration and modernization programs in an onshore, client-facing role.
• Experience in Commercial or Personal Lines P&C Insurance environments.
• Experience within distributed onsite-offshore delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Duck Creek Policy manuscripts.
• Implement and review updates related to: Policy transactions, Business rules, Workflow configurations, Underwriting logic.
• Provide technical leadership and code review support to offshore manuscript development teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve manuscript defects, configuration issues, and production incidents.
• Act as onshore technical SME for DCOD implementations and modernization programs.
• Coordinate with architects, BAs, QA leads, and delivery managers to ensure timely, quality deliverables.

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Duck Creek Manuscript Developer to support and lead the enhancement, modernization, and stabilization of Duck Creek Policy manuscripts for Commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance implementations.

This role requires deep expertise in Duck Creek Policy, DCT, DCOD, manuscript development, and migration programs, along with strong coordination skills to collaborate effectively with client stakeholders, business teams, and offshore delivery teams.

The ideal candidate will act as a key technical liaison between onsite stakeholders and offshore development teams, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and compliant solutions are delivered across modernization initiatives. Experience with AD (Advanced Development/Authoring) capabilities is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Duck Creek Manuscript Development

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Duck Creek Policy manuscripts to support business, underwriting, and regulatory requirements

  • Manuscript refactoring
  • Functional validation
  • Post-migration stabilization
• Collaborate with architects, technical leads, and client stakeholders to transition legacy on-premise implementations to modern DCOD architecture
• Drive issue resolution for migration-related defects, platform upgrade issues, and system integration challenges
• Support regression validation and production readiness activities during migration cycles

Advanced Development (AD) & Configuration

• Contribute to complex manuscript logic and advanced authoring patterns
• Develop scalable custom policy rule extensions and reusable configurations
• Guide teams on best practices for utilizing Duck Creek Authoring and AD capabilities
• Work closely with integration and QA teams to validate end-to-end policy functionality and business workflows

Onshore Coordination & Delivery Governance

• Serve as the primary onshore technical point of contact for manuscript-related activities
• Collaborate with:
  • Business Analysts
  • QA Leads
  • Delivery Managers
  • Client Stakeholders
• Defect triage sessions
• Release readiness reviews
• Ensure offshore deliverables meet quality standards, compliance requirements, and project timelines
• Provide technical oversight and proactive risk identification throughout project execution
