SICK AG offers a 3-year dual study programme in Computer Science – Cyber Security starting 01.09.2027 at Waldkirch, in cooperation with the Mannheim Cooperative State University. You will gain diverse insights across IT, R&D and Cyber Security, and work on software solutions, encryption and security tasks.

The programme emphasizes network security, cryptology and digital forensics, with a security-by-design mindset and practical involvement in complex software systems.

Qualificações

• A-levels or comparable entrance qualification plus delta exam at the DHBW.
• Strong interest in hacking, data protection and IT infrastructure.
• Initial programming experience is an advantage.
• Good command of English; German language skills (C1) required for admission to the dual university.

What you can expect

• Field of activity in the analysis, design and implementation of software solutions in the context of cyber security
• Assignments in the areas of IT security, app development and encryption
• Main focus in the area of cyber security with the analysis and architecture of networks and network infrastructure
• Activities include insights into cryptology, social engineering and digital forensics, applying security by design, working on the development of complex software systems and carrying out penetration tests

What you need

• A‑levels, specialised university entrance qualification, university of applied sciences entrance qualification (plus passed delta exam at the DHBW) or comparable training
• Strong interest in hacking, data protection and IT infrastructure
• Initial programming experience is an advantage
• Previous knowledge in the field of IT
• Good performance in technical subjects such as computer science, maths and English
• Analytical skills and high quality awareness
