Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Massachusetts RN license required.
• Massachusetts School Nurse license required.
• CPR & First Aid certification required.
• Ability to meet Boston Public Schools health standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides emergency medical care to students.
• Administers and/or supervises administration of prescription medications to students.
• Counsels and educates students on health issues.
• Maintains and updates health records and health plans for IEPs.
• Performs health screenings and immunization surveillance.
• Collaborates with families and medical providers as needed.
• Leads health education activities and staff trainings.
