Peregrine Hospitality seeks a Group Sales Manager to identify target accounts and nurture client relationships for Killington Mountain Lodge- Hilton Tapestry Collection in Killington, VT, and Courtyard by Marriott- Hanover in Lebanon, NH.   • Coordinate and plans all familiarization tours (FAMs) and in-market events, ensuring communication with Events and tracking bookings.
  • Transfer accurate, complete, and timely information to the Events department per hotel and brand standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, and safety guidelines.

Job description

As a Group Sales Manager, you are responsible for identifying and developing target accounts, as well as nurturing existing client relationships to meet or exceed individual sales goals for revenue, ADR, and group business. The role involves proactive sales activities such as outside calls, trade shows, and site visits within your assigned market. Building long-lasting, trusting relationships with clients, GSOs, and peers is essential. Additionally, you must understand your role in achieving the hotel’s overall financial success. Properties of responsibility include Killington Mountain Lodge- Hilton Tapestry Collection (Killington, VT), and Courtyard by Marriott- Hanover (Lebanon, NH).

  • Exceed established monthly, quarterly, and annual targeted sales goals.
  • Maintain an active list of target accounts to ensure continuous relationship development.
  • Establish new client relationships andmaintainsexisting relationships to maximize revenue.
  • Activelysolicitsnew business opportunities through prospecting target clientlists.
  • Seeks methods to penetrate key business activities within the market andfindsprofitable ways to bring this business to the hotel.
  • Respond in a timely manner to incoming group sales opportunities that are within pre-defined parameters.
  • Work collaboratively with other sales channels (e.g.on-property resources) to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary, and not duplicative.
  • Capture and close the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions, the property's needs, and within the hotel parameters.
  • Coordinates and plans all familiarization tours (FAMs), in-market customer events, and site inspections—both for out-of-market and in-market accounts—ensuring thorough communication with Event Management and effective data collection to support targeted planning, while tracking bookings and leads generated from these activities.
  • Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked. Transferaccurate, complete, andtimelyinformation to the Events departmentin accordance withhotel and brand standards.
  • Effectively resolve guest issues that arise as a result of the sales process.Bring issues to the attention of the property and sales leadership team asappropriate.
  • Maintain knowledge of andcomply withdepartmental policies, service procedures, 4 Keys service standards,brandguidelines,andsafety and security procedures.
  • Perform alladditionalduties asassigned by management.

  • Work well under pressure and in challenging conditions, using good judgment to resolve problems, follow directions, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience of sales experience in area or market role with Marriott & Hilton brand experience

Additional: Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs

Pay: The annual salary range for this position is $55,000-$57,000 plus sales incentive eligibility based on performance.

The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
