Cedarville University is seeking a Dual Enrollment Admissions Counselor who seeks new opportunities and relationships to connect high school students with the Dual Enrollment program. This is a full-time, exempt position that reports to the Executive Director of Dual Enrollment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Represents Cedarville University with excellence, professionalism, and discretion in stewarding internal and external relationships.
  • Effectively answers email and telephone inquiries from applicants and parents.
  • Manages dual enrollment inbox, CCP inbox, and dual enrollment phone line.
  • Represents Dual Enrollment as an exhibitor and/or speaker at CU Friday events, CCP events, homeschool conventions, and other Dual Enrollment promotional activities.
  • Manages applications from inquiry to admission via all available media and Slate.
  • Assists in homeschool convention travel and recruitment.
  • Assists with marketing efforts as needed.
  • Creates or approves copy and draft for marketing initiatives and website updates as needed.
  • Maintains expert status on Ohio’s College Credit Plus program and adherence to Ohio law.
  • Maintains meticulous applicant records in accordance with FERPA policies.
  • Maintains a thorough and ongoing knowledge of Cedarville’s general education core and its implementation in various degree programs.
  • Assists with enrollment events at Christian School Partnership schools.
  • Assists with application completion for Christian School partnership applicants.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Dual Enrollment.
  • Travel for events up to 33% during recruitment season (Jan - July).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; some college required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking communication skills.
  • Excellent human relations and emotional intelligence skills.
  • Previous professional experience with teaching, academic advising, student service, higher education, or homeschool experience preferred; recent substantive interactions with high school administrators, students, and families; experience with government program rules.
  • Affinity for working with and desire to serve high school and homeschool families.
  • Ohio’s College Credit Plus program SME.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and with pressures created by deadlines.
  • Willing to travel for events year-round (25%).
