Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of MN in Baxter, MN is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with identified needs through person-centered care. You’ll build relationships, support daily living activities, and help people pursue their goals in a residential setting.

The role offers part-time and full-time shifts, $17.00 per hour with a potential raise to $17.50 after six months, and a $3,000 hiring bonus. Training is provided, and the team emphasizes dignity, respect, and inclusion.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance, encouragement, and support.
• Assist with daily living activities, personal care, meals, and mobility.
• Support community involvement and independent living skills.
• Advocate for rights, needs, and preferences.
• Monitor health and wellbeing and report changes.
• Complete required documentation and attend trainings.
• Residential group home setting supporting up to 4 people.
• Collaborative, mission-driven team focused on dignity, respect and inclusion.

Pay:

• $17.00/hr!
• Upon completion of six months of consistent employment, there is an opportunity to obtain a wage increase to $17.50/hr!
• $3000 Hiring Bonus!*

Shifts:

• A variety of Part-time and Full-time shift available
• Evening shifts

What You’ll Do:

• Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance, encouragement, and support
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, hygiene needs, meals, household support/cleaning, and transportation
• Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills
• Advocate for people with identified needs’ rights, needs, and preferences
• Monitor health and wellbeing and report changes as needed
• Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings
• Residential group home setting supporting up to 4 people with identified needs
• Collaborative, mission‑driven team focused on dignity, respect, and inclusion
