Job summary

Shure is seeking a highly capable engineer to advance DSP/ML audio for conferencing products. You will work on cutting-edge signal processing and machine-learning algorithms, collaborate with a mentor and teammates, and optimize code for CUDA, NEON SIMD, and TI C7x DSP targets.

The role involves porting audio-flow projects to offline simulations, exploring audio encoding and inter-device networking, and contributing to core framework development while preparing deliverables for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Completed coursework in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, data science, AI/ML, or audio-related DSP emphasis.
• Experience with Matlab or Python required.
• Experience with C, C++, or Assembly language programming.
• Experience with CUDA, C7x, or NEON SIMD hardware acceleration.
• Experience designing audio signal processing software or hardware, including ML algorithms; embedded preferred, but Matlab/Python accepted.
• Experience with IDEs, compilers/linkers, and debugging tools including emulators and profilers.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and optimization of traditional and machine learning signal processing algorithms.
• Collaborate with mentor and teammates on DSP-based audio features for conferencing products.
• Deliver DSP and ML features into intelligent products to enhance audio experience.
• Optimize C/C++ code for CPU architectures including CUDA, NEON SIMD, TI C7x DSP; meet MIPS, memory, latency, fidelity constraints.
• Port audio-flow projects from embedded applications to offline simulations.
• Explore audio encoding and inter-device network communication schemes.
• Participate in foundational coding framework development.
• Estimate, organize, and plan work tasks with mentor; present contributions to stakeholders and exec management.
