Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency in Towanda, PA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at home and in the community. You will deliver person-centered care, promote independence, and safeguard dignity and safety in every interaction.

This part-time, in-person role requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and experience with BSPs and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
• Must have own vehicle with AWD or 4WD.
• Must be able to drive up a mountain in the winter.

Duties

Skills

• Strong knowledge of behavioral support plans (BSPs) and home care practices


• Ability to assist individuals with mobility and personal care needs


• Proficient in goal tracking and implementing individualized support strategies


• Solid understanding of individual rights, person-centered advocacy, and HIPAA compliance


• Compassionate, reliable, and adaptable with excellent interpersonal skills

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and access to your own reliable transportation.

• Client prefers male staff


• Must have own vehicle that is either all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive.


• Must be able to drive up a mountain in the winter.
