Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency seeks a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings, delivering person-centered care and promoting independence.

You will support daily living, mobility, and transportation while safeguarding rights and confidentiality in line with HIPAA. A part-time, in-person role requires reliable transportation and prior DSP experience.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of behavior support plans (BSPs) and home care practices.
• Ability to assist individuals with mobility and personal care needs.
• Proficient in goal tracking and implementing individualized support strategies.
• Solid understanding of individual rights, person-centered advocacy, and HIPAA compliance.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and access to your own reliable transportation.

• Prior experience as a DSP

• Client prefers male staff

• Must have own vehicle that is either all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive.

• Must be able to drive up a mountain in the winter.
