Job summary

AbleLight in Missouri is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide care and support in a residential setting, helping individuals develop and implement their ISP, including spiritual life supports and personal goals.

You will assist with daily living activities, personal care, meals, transportation to appointments, and maintain records in accordance with medical orders and state guidelines, while treating people with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential care preferred.
• Ability to follow turn-by-turn instructions and ISP guidelines.
• Respectful and compassionate approach to individuals served.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily care and companionship aligned with ISP with dignity and respect.
• Assists with personal care (bathing, dressing, bathroom assistance) and housekeeping.
• Prepares and serves meals per individual diet plans.
• Administers medications under nurse supervision.
• Schedules appointments and accompanies individuals to medical visits, outings, or errands.
• Supports engagement in activities to enhance daily living and quality of life.
• Maintains GER and records per medical orders, state compliance, abuse reporting and internal procedures.

Job Summary

Provides care and support in residential setting to the people we serve by assisting in the development and implementation of individual Support Plans, including spiritual life supports, assisting people in achieving their personal goals and desires, providing interaction and choices for activities that support a meaningful day, supporting people to be independent in activities of daily living and personal care as needed

Essential Duties

• Provides daily support, care and companionship aligned with the individual Support Plan (ISP) with dignity and respect.
• Provides personal care such as bathing, dressing, bathroom assistance or housekeeping.
• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with individual diet plans.
• Administers medication, prescriptions as documented under the direction (supervision) of a nurse.
• Schedule as requested and take individuals to medical appointments, outings, or errands.
• Support engaging activities to maximize and enhance the quality of daily living and support individuals’ personal goals and quality of life.
• Ensures general event reporting (GER), record keeping is maintained that is aligned with medical orders, state compliance requirements, abuse reporting, court orders and AbleLight quality and internal procedures and guidelines.
