You will build secure, high‑performance web apps for DSCA with enterprise APIs, data services, and AI‑enabled capabilities, collaborating across product, design, and platform teams.

The role requires experience in React/TypeScript, experience with RESTful APIs, security practices, AWS GovCloud, and a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Join the growing Warfare Systems Business Group at HII-Mission Technologies! We are seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Full‑Stack Developer / Platform Engineer (React & TypeScript) to support the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) . In this role, you will develop secure, intuitive, and high‑performance web applications that enable mission and business objectives. The ideal candidate will craft modern user experiences that integrate with enterprise APIs, data services, and AI‑enabled capabilities; work collaboratively with product, design, and platform teams; and apply sound engineering practices to deliver reliable, scalable software throughout the development lifecycle.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, accessible, and maintainable web applications using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Build reusable user interface components, dashboards, forms, workflows, and data visualizations using established design systems and component libraries
• Develop conversational and AI-enabled user experiences, including chat interfaces, streamed responses, user feedback mechanisms, and clear error or fallback states
• Integrate front‑end applications with RESTful APIs and support asynchronous, streaming, and real‑time interactions as required
• Implement robust client-side input validation, error handling, application state management, authentication flows, and role‑aware user interface behavior
• Apply secure front‑end engineering practices and accessibility standards throughout design, development, testing, and release activities
• Write and maintain component, integration, and end-to-end tests ; contribute to a test‑driven development culture where appropriate
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, platform, cybersecurity, and AI/ML engineering teams to deliver integrated enterprise capabilities
• Support deployment of applications within AWS GovCloud environments, including integration with approved AWS services such as API Gateway, Amazon S3, and Amazon Bedrock

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing production web applications using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience designing and implementing reusable components, responsive interfaces, and accessible user experiences
• Experience integrating front‑end applications with RESTful APIs and enterprise authentication and identity services
• Working knowledge of client‑side application architecture, state management, error handling, and testing practices
• Experience with Git‑based version control, code review, and Agile software delivery practices
• Familiarity with secure software development and DevSecOps practices , including dependency management, secure configuration, secrets handling, software bill of materials (SBOM) processes, and software supply‑chain integrity
• Experience using component libraries or design systems, such as Material UI (MUI)
• Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance at the time of consideration
• Fully Remote position; must align with Eastern Time Zone core business hours

Software Development 3

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

Software Development 4

9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

Salary level based on background, direct experience and education

Preferred Requirements

• 8+ years of preferred experience
• Experience developing conversational, AI-enabled, or generative AI user interfaces
• Experience consuming streaming APIs, server‑sent events, WebSockets, or other real‑time communication patterns
• Experience integrating applications with AWS services in AWS GovCloud environments
• Experience working closely with backend, platform, cybersecurity, and AI/ML engineering teams
• Familiarity with containerized application delivery and CI/CD pipelines

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods while working at a computer
• Ability to operate a keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment to perform analytical tasks
• Must be able to effectively communicate in virtual meetings, briefings, and secure collaboration environments
• Ability to review, analyze, and interpret digital data for extended periods with attention to detail and accuracy
• Occasional light lifting of documents or equipment up to 10 lbs, if needed for home‑office setup
