HireQuest Direct is seeking an experienced Drywall Hanger/Finisher to join our team in Tallahassee, FL on a temporary, full-time basis. Your responsibilities will include hanging drywall panels, measuring and cutting drywall, applying joint compound, and finishing surfaces to achieve a seamless appearance.

Responsibilities

• Hang drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to blueprints and specifications
• Measure and cut drywall to fit around windows, outlets, and other obstacles
• Install corner beads and metal studs to provide support for drywall panels
• Apply joint compound and tape to seal and smooth seams between drywall panels
• Sand, smooth, and finish drywall surfaces to achieve a smooth and seamless appearance
• Repair and patch damaged or uneven areas of drywall
• Clean and prepare surfaces for painting or wallpapering

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Drywall Hanger/Finisher
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and sanders
• Knowledge of different types of drywall and their uses
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
