Job summary

Handyman Connection is seeking an experienced Drywall Finisher for residential and light commercial projects. You will cut, tape, sand and install drywall, using hand and mechanical tools, in a flexible, contractor role with local franchise support.

We offer strong earnings between $30 and $45 per hour (up to $1,200 per week for the right schedule), plus office support, access to our scheduling app, and branded apparel. Independent contractors welcomed with proper insurance and references.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Drywall Finisher in residential or light commercial settings.
• Proficient with drywall hand tools and finishing techniques.
• Own tools, vehicle, good references, and ability to pass background check.
• Independent contractors must carry liability insurance and workers' comp.
• Smartphone and internet access required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cut, tape, sand and install drywall per project specifications.

This skilled craftsman would ideally have a variety of home improvement skills to support the growth of our business. Handyman Connection is a locally owned and operated, well established Home Improvement Company dedicated to excellent customer service and quality work. Our customers love us! We have over 50% repeat/referral customer base and our business is growing!

Responsibilities

The Drywall Finisher performs and coordinates the cutting, taping, sanding and installation of drywall during the construction, remodeling or repair in a residential and light commercial setting. The candidate must be proficient working with all drywall hand tools, mechanical tools required to complete their work. You must have experience as a Drywall Finisher, and you must have a positive attitude.

• Ability to texture and refinish plaster services
• Ability and willing to work on new walls and ceilings, and repair existing walls.
• Ability to determine and clearly identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects.
• Evaluate customer requests, price projects, troubleshoot customer issues, and present a description of a work order to a customer.

Requirements

• Must have current Driver's License and submit to a background check
• Must have tools, vehicle and good references
• Must have experience in the remodeling or home repair trades
• Independent Contractors must carry liability insurance and workers comp
• Must pass screening process
• Must have a smart phone and access to the internet

Please, no Project Managers or those that specialize primarily in New Construction.
