Job summary

CK Construction Group is seeking a skilled drywall installer to plan and install drywall on interior walls, ceilings, and partitions. You will align metal framing, install studs, and fasten drywall while following blueprints and project specifications.

Reports to Foreman and coordinates with trade teams to ensure accurate scope and safe execution. Apprenticeship or drywall experience preferred; HS diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an apprenticeship program or an equivalent 4-6 years of drywall experience is required.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine installation methods and material/tool requirements.
• Install horizontal and vertical metal studs for wallboard attachment on interior walls.
• Lay out reference lines and points for metal framing and furring channels, mark positions.
• Measure, mark, and cut metal runners, studs, and furring channels with measuring tools.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on drywall with measuring tools.
• Scribe cutting lines on drywall and break boards along cut lines.
• Fit and fasten boards in place using screws or adhesive.
• Cut openings for electrical outlets, vents or fixtures.
• Measure, cut, assemble and install metal framing and decorative trim for windows, doorways and vents.
