Job summary

Falewitch Construction in Papillion, NE is hiring a skilled laborer to mix and apply joint compounds, tape and finish drywall, and operate scaffolds and lifts to reach various elevations.

This role is physically demanding: lifting up to 65 lbs, frequent tool handling, standing for long periods, and outdoor work in heat or cold. You’ll work with other trades to achieve quality finishes safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lifting up to 65lbs (one bucket of joint compound mixed).
• Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling 25–30lbs on drywall tools daily.
• Lifting, pushing and pulling 5–10lbs hand tools frequently, most of the day.
• Lifting and pushing 15lbs (mixer) occasionally, hourly.
• Pushing and pulling 15lbs (drywall tools) above shoulder height.
• Holding flat box and using angle tools repetitively for up to 4–6 hours per day.
• Manual dexterity and coordinated movement are essential.
• Standing or walking for up to eight hours.
• Walking and working off stilts 4–6 hours per day.
• Erecting scaffold to reach elevations; components weigh 45–60lbs+.
• Climbing scaffold 3–4 stories, 4–8 times daily.

Job Description:

Mixing joint compound and carrying joint compound or dryvit up to 65lbs. Tape, fill and finish as to required level of finish. Erect and climb various types of scaffold and aerial lifts to reach different elevations.

Required Job Duties:

• Lifting up to 65lbs (one bucket of joint compound mixed)
• Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling 25lbs to 30lbs (drywall tools i.e. banjo and taper) on a regular and consistent bases, approximately four to five hours per day
• Lifting, pushing and pulling 5lbs to 10lbs (drywall hand tools) frequently, five to six hours per day
• Lifting and pushing 15lbs (mixer) for drywall mud occasionally, once per hour
• Pushing and pulling 15lbs (drywall tools) continuously above and at shoulder height
• Holding flat box and using angle tools in a repetitive manner for up to four to six hours per day
• Full use of fingers and both hands required for this manually dexterous position
• Manual dexterity along with simultaneous and mental and muscular coordination is an essential job requirement
• Standing and walking for eight hours, except for lunch and 15 minutes of breaks
• Walking and working off stilts up to four to six hours per day
• Erecting scaffold to reach different elevations - Scaffolds components varies in weights from 45lbs to 60lbs or greater
• Climbing scaffold as high as three to four stories, possibly higher, four to eight times per day when jobs are above ground level
