Job summary

Acousti is seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher in Miami, FL to ensure high-quality drywall installations for our commercial and residential projects. You will collaborate with a team to uphold safety and craftsmanship standards on site.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, taping joints, applying primers/textures, and ensuring smooth, paint-ready surfaces. Travel within central Florida may be required; a High School Diploma is preferred.

• Read and interpret project blueprints to plan tasks.
• Measure, cut, and install materials, including metal molding.
• Prepare wall surfaces for finishing by applying joint compounds and sanding.
• Embed tape into sealing compounds and blend joints with walls.
• Apply primers and textures to create smooth, paint-ready surfaces.
• Operate scaffolds, lifts, ladders, and other tools safely.
• Work independently or with others to meet schedules, indoors and outdoors.

Your Role at Acousti

As a Drywall Finisher, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and precision of drywall installations for our commercial and residential projects. Working closely with a dynamic team, you will help maintain Acousti's high standards and reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Read and interpret project blueprints to plan and execute tasks effectively
• Measure, cut, and install materials, including metal molding, ensuring precision and durability
• Prepare wall surfaces for finishing by spreading, smoothing, and sanding sealing compounds over joints, cracks, and holes
• Embed tape into sealing compounds using trowels, spatulas, or mechanical applicators, blending joints seamlessly with wall surfaces
• Apply primers, texturizing compounds, or additional coats to create smooth, paint-ready surfaces while ensuring adhesives are durable
• Operate scaffolds, aerial lifts, ladders, stilts, powder-actuated tools, and lasers while maintaining safety compliance
• Work independently or collaboratively to meet construction schedules and industry standards indoors and outdoors
• Perform other duties as assigned, maintaining flexibility to adapt to project needs
