Job summary

Fl-Crane- is seeking a Drywall Finisher to prepare unfinished interior drywall panels for painting by taping and finishing joints and imperfections. The role includes applying joint compound, sanding between coats, and ensuring a smooth surface ready for paint.

Responsibilities include fastening panels, fitting openings for outlets, and working with a crew to complete projects on schedule. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred and drywall finishing experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must have drywall finishing experience and basic math for measurements.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read simple construction drawings and notes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare panels for painting by taping joints and finishing imperfections.
• Smooth out imperfections and fill joints with spackle.
• Press paper tape into compound and cover depressions with spackle.
• Apply second and third coats of compound; sand after each coat.
• Fasten drywall panels and prepare openings for outlets and fixtures.
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Job description

The Drywall Finisher is responsible for preparing unfinished interior drywall panels for painting by taping and finishing joints and imperfections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare panels for painting by taping or finishing joints.
• Smooth out imperfections.
• Fill joints in-between panels with spackle.
• Press paper tape into compound.
• Smooth away excess material.
• Cover nail and screw depressions with spackle.
• Apply second and third coats of compound. Sand areas after each coast.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Fasten drywall panels to the inside framework of building as needed.
• Prepare panels by sawing, drilling, or cutting holes in panels for electrical outlets, air conditioning units, and plumbing as needed.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
• Drywall Finishing Experience (required)

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Ability to finish drywall
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work independently and with a work crew.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools required for installing drywall.
