Job summary

Veroskills in Columbus, IN is seeking an experienced drywall finisher for a full-time, temp-to-hire role. You will complete drywall surfaces to a high standard, using tapers, mud, and textures, and operate related equipment on a standard weekday schedule.

The ideal candidate has extensive drywall finishing experience, proficiency with auto tapers and finishing tools, and the physical stamina to work on elevated surfaces. A background check may be required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for an experienced drywall finisher to join a full-time, temp-to-hire team in Columbus, Indiana. In this hands-on role, you'll finish drywall to a high standard and help create clean, professional wall and ceiling surfaces. This is a first-shift position with steady weekday hours and a strong benefits package.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Finish drywall by taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing surfaces to a high standard.
• Operate drywall finishing equipment, including automatic tapers and related tools.
• Apply a variety of texture finishes to walls and ceilings.
• Work safely and effectively on stilts, scaffolding, ladders, and elevated work surfaces.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Extensive experience in drywall finishing.
• Strong proficiency with auto tapers and finishing tools.
• Experience operating drywall finishing equipment.
• Strong drywall sanding and finishing skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work full-time on first shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• May be subject to a background check.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience working on scaffolding and elevated surfaces.
• Experience working on stilts.
• Valid driver's license.
