Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Columbus, OH is seeking a Drywall Carpenter to install, finish, and repair drywall systems on commercial projects. You will read plans, measure and cut, lay out openings, apply tape and compound, and install ceiling components while upholding safety and quality standards.

This full-time role offers competitive, hourly pay and opportunities for hands-on training on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in drywall, carpentry or commercial construction preferred; on-the-job training available.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and drywall installation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and install drywall panels to wood and metal framing.
• Layout openings for doors, windows, electrical fixtures, and other components.
• Apply joint compound and finishing materials to create smooth surfaces.
• Sand, finish, and repair drywall as needed.
• Install ceiling tile and related components.
• Read and interpret project specifications.
• Estimate materials needed for tasks.
• Safely use tools and equipment for drywall installation.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow safety policies and jobsite procedures.
