Job summary

Drybar in Westlake Village, CA, is seeking a Shift Lead/Cosmetologist to supervise daily operations and deliver premium blowouts. You will guide a team of stylists and bartenders, supervise client flow from check-in to checkout, and ensure Drybar standards are consistently met.

The role emphasizes fast, high-quality blowouts (under 45 minutes), staff training on Booker, and strong customer service. Competitive hourly pay with bonuses and benefits for all staff are included.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current cosmetology license for the state applied.
• Ability to perform blowouts within 45 minutes.
• Lead shop staff on assigned shift and supervise bartenders & stylists.
• Deliver exceptional client experience from check-in to checkout.
• Ensure adherence to Drybar standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead client experience from check-in to checkout, upholding Drybar standards.
• Assign clients to stylists and delegate tasks to bartenders and stylists.
• Monitor inventory and place orders to maintain supply levels.
• Train new staff on Booker and Drybar’s core values.
• Ensure all blowouts are completed in under 45 minutes and maintain service quality.
• Maintain timekeeping policies and report hours accurately.

We are looking for a hair stylist who has

• A current and valid cosmetology license for the state in which you are applying.
• Shampoo, blow-dry and amazing hair styling & finishing skills. Ability to do a blowout in under 45 minutes!
• Supervise shop staff on any given shift assigned Bartenders & Stylist.
• Lead client experience from check in to check out ensuring Drybar standards are upheld.
• Lead team member responsibilities assign clients to stylists, delegate tasks to bartenders and stylists, execute meal period and break schedule.
• Monitor shop inventory regularly check back bar and retail supplies, place orders when needed to meet supply level standards.
• Train new bartenders educate on using Booker and Drybar’s 10 core values. Ensure Stylists are completing blowouts in under 45 minutes.
• A desire to provide exceptional service not only to our clients but to our staff. Implement problem solving strategies and maintain awareness.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment and dedication to customer service.
• Ensure that all company procedures and policies, federal, state, and local regulations are followed. Ensure all Drybar’s timekeeping policy and supervisor policy addendum. Responsible for reporting all time worked for self and others in a timely fashion.
