Job summary

School of Rock is seeking a Music Instructor in Johns Creek—GA. You will lead private lessons and ensemble rehearsals, delivering high-quality instruction across keys, vocals, guitar, bass, and drums, while ensuring students master fundamental music concepts.

The ideal candidate has extensive performance or teaching experience, strong curriculum design skills, and a passion for mentoring young musicians within a dynamic school community.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience teaching and/or performing music professionally.
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
• Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and other people.
• Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows.
• Ensure students learn the fundamentals of music, not just songs.
• Create and document thoughtful lesson plans.
• Communicate regularly with parents on progress of students after lessons.
• Interact with parents and students regularly by being visible and accessible in the school.
• Assist in rehearsals and basic maintenance in school.
• Adhere to the School of Rock Code of Conduct and safety policies.
