Job summary

Guitar Center is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to deliver lessons under the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum and foster a love of music in students. You will work to grow student counts while ensuring each learner progresses and enjoys playing their instrument.

As part of our inclusive culture, you will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule lessons, retain students, and provide outstanding customer service, building lasting relationships with families and students.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Music, Education, or related field.
• Ability to teach the instrument they are proficient in such as Drums, Guitar, Keyboard, etc.
• Skilled ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area they will be teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach music lessons according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
• Increase student headcount while ensuring each student grows and enjoys playing music.
• Maintain a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.
• Partner with store Lessons Lead to schedule lessons and retain students.
• Provide excellent customer service and support long-term student relationships.

As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count ensuring each student continues to grow, develop, and enjoys playing music all while nurturing our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.

As a Music Teacher, you will impact:

Store Culture & Excellence:

• Partner with store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based off the needs of the community
• Teach students utilizing the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum
• Assist with Customer service as needed, helping to build and maintain long term students by creating a great experience
• Additional duties as assigned

Student & Parent Partnership:

• Partner with all students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships, and embracing the knowledge parents have as their child's Music Teacher
• Communicate with students and/or parents of students on progress of each student
• Share students and/or parents' goals and progress frequently

Requirements:
