Job summary

Guitar Center is seeking a Music Teacher to deliver lessons under the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum, helping students grow and develop while fostering a culture of integrity and inclusion.

You will partner with the Lessons Lead to manage student headcount, use proven teaching methods, and support customers by creating a memorable learning experience for each student.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching music subjects or instruments.
• Ability to teach instrument they are proficient in (e.g., Vocals).
• Comfort with student assessment and progress tracking.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and retain student headcount with community needs.
• Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
• Assist with customer service to build long-term students.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: $16.90/hr - $20.34/hr Non-Teaching Rate and up to $30.14/hr Total Teaching Rate depending on background and experience.

As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count ensuring each student continues to grow, develop, and enjoys playing music all while nurturing our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.

As a Music Teacher, you will impact:

Store Culture & Excellence:

• Partner with store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based off the needs of the community
• Teach students utilizing the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum
• Assist with Customer service as needed, helping to build and maintain long term students by creating a great experience
• Additional duties as assigned

Student & Parent Partnership:

• Partner with all students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships, and embracing the knowledge parents have as their child's Music Teacher
• Communicate with students and/or parents of students on progress of each student
• Share students and/or parents' goals and progress frequently

Requirements:

• Previous experience in Music, Education, or related field
• Ability to teach the instrument that they are proficient in such as Vocals.
• Skilled ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area they will be teaching
