Job summary

Sioux-Honey-Association in Sioux City, IA is seeking a Manual Labor worker to operate and tend to machinery for washing and cleaning drums, and to safely manage forklift tasks in a busy plant environment.

You must meet the minimum qualifications including a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read and follow safety rules and manuals. This role includes overtime and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 0–3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years forklift experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Read, write, and speak English.
• Read, write, and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to add, subtract, and multiply/divide with dollars and basic unit measurements.
• Ability to solve practical problems with variable conditions.
• Operate and read a scale.
• Able to operate forklift, pass forklift test, use hand pallet jack and drum truck.
• Turn valves, read temperature gauges, and operate trash compactor.
• Experience with inventory.

Responsibilities

• Operate and tend to machine to wash and clean drums.
• Operate a forklift.
• Remove impurities and clean up the work area as needed.
• Assist lid washer, drum handlers, and receivers when needed.
• Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
