Responsibilities

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions and offering product guidance.
• Gain knowledge of department products and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of specials and promotions.
• Recommend products to meet customer needs and ensure satisfaction.
• Monitor dates, stock, and inventory labeling of department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in ordering/shipping to the department manager.
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Follow safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions, notifying management.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and report any equipment issues.
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts calmly.
• Uphold honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
• Provide support when interacting with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
