• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of specials and promotions.
• Recommend items to meet customer needs.
• Monitor dates and take appropriate action on sell-by items.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to management.
• Maintain a positive attitude on the sales floor.
• Stay informed about current ads and promotions.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Notify management of accidents involving customers or employees.
• Report safety risks or illegal activity when observed.
• Handle high-paced and sometimes stressful environments constructively.
• Manage conflicts in a calm and cooperative manner.
• Follow directions and seek help as necessary.
• Assist diverse customers including minors and seniors when needed.
