Job summary

CSU Stanislaus is seeking temporary hourly-intermittent student assistants for Disability Resource Services. Responsibilities include front office duties, answering questions, and scheduling. Position may involve assisting with assistive technology, classroom support, paperwork, and exam proctoring.

Open to undergraduate students enrolled in at least six units (or graduate students in a >=4 unit program). Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of six Fall/Spring units.
  • Post-baccalaureate graduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of four Fall/Spring units.

Responsibilities

  • Front Office coverage in Disability Resource Services, answering phones and scheduling appointments.
  • May instruct students with disabilities on assistive technology software.
  • Assist students with disabilities in the classroom as needed and with paperwork.
  • Proctor exams as needed.
  • Provide cart services for students with disabilities to and from classes and confidential items to departments.

Position Summary

Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant positions available in Disability Resource Services.

Start Date

Positions available on or after August 10, 2026 and ending on or before May 31, 2027. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

Job Description/Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Front Office coverage in Disability Resource Services office, including answering phones and general questions about the program as well as scheduling appointments.
  • May provide instruction to students with disabilities on the use of assistive technology software.
  • Assist students with disabilities in the classroom as needed.
  • Assist students with disabilities with paperwork.
  • Proctor exams as needed.
  • Cart driver, provide cart services for students with disabilities to and from classes as well as confidential items to departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
  • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
Salary Range

$16.90 per hour.

Background Clearance Notice

Satisfactory completion of a background check (which includes checks of employment records, education records, criminal records, civil records; and may include motor vehicle records, professional licenses, and sex offender registries, as position requires) is required for employment.
