Job summary

Conexon is seeking a Supervisor of Drop Service Installation to oversee daily field operations, lead installation technicians, and ensure high-quality fiber service installations across the assigned Georgia territory.

You will manage technician scheduling, training, inventory, and reporting, travel to co-op locations as needed, and partner with Connect Sales/Marketing to improve performance and customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• 3+ years in fiber optic ISP operations/construction field.
• Proficient PC skills and Microsoft Office; strong communication.
• Able to operate optical test equipment (fusion splicers, OTDRs) and company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Hire/train personnel on service, drop, installation processes.
• Lead drop technicians and ensure tools/equipment readiness.
• Oversee vehicle use and maintenance; manage scheduling.
• Develop/maintain service and install reporting dashboards.
• Manage storm restoration and damage notification processes.
• Assist Connect projects and build relationships with co-ops.
• Travel to co-op clients as needed and support customer experience.

We are seeking a Supervisor of Drop Service Installation to oversee daily field operations, lead installation technicians, and ensure efficient, high-quality fiber service installations. This role is responsible for technician scheduling, training, quality control, inventory management, and coordinating service restoration efforts. The ideal candidate has experience in fiber installation, field operations, and team leadership, with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Requirements

• Highschool diploma required (College degree preferred)
• > 3 years’ experience in fiber optic ISP operations/construction field
• Strong P.C. and Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to use optical test equipment including fusion splicers and OTDRs
• Safely operate a company vehicle
• Strong communication skills
• Initiative to work remotely with limited supervision
• Strong leadership skills

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

1. Connect Drop Service & Installation Responsibilities:

a. Hire and train personnel on service, drop and installation processes, and procedures.

b. Provide leadership to drop technicians.

c. Ensure all field personnel are outfitted with necessary tools and equipment.

d. Ensure proper processes are in place for maintaining all tools and equipment.

e. Ensure proper inventory management practices are in place for drop and CPE installation materials.

f. Oversee drivers of company fleet and provide leadership of proper vehicle usage and maintenance.

g. Manage drop service technician scheduling.

i. Develop and maintain service and install reporting/dashboards as needed.

ii. Complete EOD reporting requirements

iii. 811 compliance

iv. Quality control of both in-house and contract drop installation

1. Invoice approval

h. Manage storm restoration service process

i. Develop and maintain process for damage notifications

ii. Manage service trouble tickets and drop restoration process.

iii. Assist OSP Construction department with troubleshooting as needed.

2. Assist with management of Connect Complete projects

3. Build/maintain positive business relationships with our co-op clients.

4. Travel to co-op clients as needed.

5. Ensure drop service technicians assist Conexon Service and Installation Managers to maintain positive customer experience

6. Work together with Connect Sales/Marketing team & Co-op clients to determine causes of low performance & provide feedback on how to increase sales & penetration rates

7. Assist with escalated customer complaints/issues as required

8. Support RDOF regulatory field verification

9. Additional duties as assigned

• Ability to bend stoop kneel Crouch or reach as required by job tasks etc.
