Job summary

Westmag in South San Francisco, CA, is seeking an Assembly Technician to join a fast-paced production line, responsible for precision assembly, testing, and quality inspection of drone motors and actuators.

You will read engineering drawings, handle small components, record data in MES, and ensure safety and workmanship, with potential overtime. On-site role with climate-controlled floor and PPE; experience in electronics assembly preferred.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
• Record data accurately and follow documented procedures.
• Meet production targets in a fast-paced environment.
• Authorized to work in the United States and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble motor and actuator components to engineering specs.
• Wind, terminate, and connect motor coils per drawings.
• Install bearings, magnets, shafts, and encoder sub-assemblies.
• Apply adhesives and potting compounds as required.
• Perform continuity, insulation, and back-EMF testing.
• Record test data and MES entries; document production progress.
• Identify and escalate non-conforming parts or process deviations.
• Support rework, repair, and validation activities.
