Job summary
Wing is seeking a Manufacturing Software Test Engineer to join our Manufacturing team in Dallas, Texas. This role focuses on developing automated test systems and infrastructure for mass production of Wing's aircraft, combining hardware and software expertise for robust manufacturing solutions.
The successful candidate will work cross-functionally and travel domestically and internationally as needed, supporting NPI and ongoing production while driving continuous improvement and data-driven
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing software for manufacturing test and infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient programming with Python and strong understanding of data structures and OOP.
- Experience with hardware and software embedded systems in Unix/Linux environments, test methodologies and QA processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop, support and deploy test automation software and infrastructure for aircraft manufacturing sites during NPI and mass production.
- Investigate and analyze manufacturing data to debug hardware and software issues in aircraft components/technologies and embedded Linux systems.
- Oversee and enhance aircraft deployment and testing at operational sites, aligning with company objectives and operational excellence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, vendors and contract manufacturers to drive projects and improve designs/processes.
- Design and deliver data analysis tools and infrastructure to transform manufacturing data into actionable insights.
