Job summary

Amazon Prime Air is seeking a Repair Technician to maintain drones, perform routine service, and ensure the aircraft are in safe operating condition while collaborating with engineering and flight operations. This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and working shifts up to 12 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with travel up to 25% in Austin, Texas.

Starting pay is $33.00 per hour with potential overtime and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical and electrical integration or assembly.
• Carry/lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long shifts.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.
• Experience with common office tools (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Drive time-based and condition-based maintenance activities.
• Demonstrate understanding of fleet performance metrics.
• Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes.
• Manage fleet spare parts and inventory.
• Demonstrate proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations.
• Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals.
