Job summary

AAA Driving School in Ohio is seeking a Part-Time Driver Training Instructor to deliver behind-the-wheel instruction and help build safer roads.

You'll follow AAA's curriculum, use school software to track progress, and work flexible shifts including weekends to meet student demand.

Requirements include a 5+ year driving history, valid license, high school diploma, and the ability to obtain the state Driving School Instructor license; background check and drug screen required.

Qualifications

• Experience in driving instruction, education, or the automotive industry.
• Confidence working with the public, especially teens.
• Strong commitment to promoting safe driving habits.
• Flexibility to accommodate student schedules, including weekday afternoons and at least one weekend day.
• Physical ability to sit for extended periods, hear and see in all weather conditions, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift up to 25lbs.
• Must be capable of safely assuming control of the vehicle from the passenger seat during instruction or emergency situations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 5 years of driving experience.
• Must obtain state-issued Driving School Instructor license, which includes passing a DMV-required physical exam.
• Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening.

Hourly Pay: $22.00/hour

Flexible Scheduling - Part-Time (20-28 hours/week): We're looking for team members who are available to work flexible shifts of at least 4.5 hours across both day and evening hours. Weekend availability is required, either one full 8-hour shift or two shorter 4.5-hour shifts split across both weekend days. Weekly schedules may vary depending on student demand.
