AAA Driving School in Ohio is hiring a Full-Time Driver Training Instructor to deliver behind-the-wheel instruction, following AAA’s curriculum, and using our software to monitor student progress.

You will assess performance, provide personalized guidance, and stay current on safe driving practices while handling state documentation and licensing requirements. The role requires a flexible schedule with weekends and paid licensing/training, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in driving instruction, education, or the automotive industry.
• Confidence working with the public, especially teens.
• Strong commitment to promoting safe driving habits.
• Flexibility to accommodate student schedules, including weekday afternoons and at least one weekend day.
• Must obtain state-issued Driving School Instructor license, including DMV exam.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 5 years of driving experience.

• Hourly Pay: $22.00/hour
• Schedule - Full-Time (37.5 hours/week): We’re looking for team members with flexible availability to work 8-hour shifts across both day and evening hours. Weekend availability is required for at least one day, with both days preferred. Weekly schedules may vary depending on student demand.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in driving instruction, education, or the automotive industry
• Confidence working with the public, especially teens

• Flexibility to accommodate student schedules, including weekday afternoons and at least one weekend day
• Physical ability to sit for extended periods, hear and see in all weather conditions, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift up to 25lbs
• Must be capable of safely assuming control of the vehicle from the passenger seat during instruction or emergency situations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Minimum of 5 years of driving experience
• Must obtain state-issued Driving School Instructor license, which includes passing a DMV-required physical exam
• Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening
